Description
A very nice example of the Austin A40 Farina as it would have appeared when first issued in 1959 with smooth wheels. The vast majority of these are in the same two-tone finish, blue with a dark blue roof like this one. There are also scarce red and black editions without the friction motor.
This has few signs of playwear and it is all original with no touch-ins anywhere and the wear to the paintwork is mostly confined to the raised edges (bonnet centre-line and side ‘chrome’ strips). The windows are lovely and clear, the silver paint bright still and the wheels and tyres are all original. The tin base is straight with no dents, and looks like new.A great addition to any collection.
