Description
This is a lovely example of a later edition of this model with cast 8-spoke wheels. Remarkably, this can be found with the full range of shaped, wire, cast and these wheels, these probably being the most common.
All these models were a creamy white colour with bright red stripes, some with paper RN decals applied. A pack was supplied in the box so they may be found affixed anywhere or not at all!
This is in excellent condition and the suspension is also fine, so often a problem with these. The chrome is also virtually unmarked front and rear and the windows clean and clear with a bright chalky blue interior.
It is all original and one of the best I’ve seen – a nice item to display with the 2021 Corgi Model Club re-issue which is based on this version and illustrated here.
