A very nice example of the Gift Set 17 components from a later original set.
The Land Rover is always a red edition and this one is in lovely condition, one of the best I’ve had. The wheels are like new and the front bumper is unusually straight and true. It has an original canopy in the correct cream colour – all original with a hook in place.
The trailer is the first type, slightly shorter and without the hatching that appears on later ones, and is all yellow as should be the case for this set with small smooth wheels. It has some signs of being played with over the years, one track being slightly bent, a little paint missing here and there but with a complete and intact towing ring. The clip is a little loose so care is need when hitching to the Land Rover but, as you can see from the photos, it does hold good.
The Ferrari is a late edition with cast, spoke-effect wheels. This has excellent paintwork, including the vulnerable nose and rear areas and the decals are all intact and original. the chrome is excellent and the exhausts both present. The driver is a replacement.
