Description
Some models are simply too worn or damaged to be able to be restored as genuine items, often needing windows, paintwork or suspension repair that requires the base to be removed. Rather than discard them, I make an effort to turn them into something attractive, usually with a quite different colour or features to the official release in order to avoid anyone thinking that I am trying to sell something as ‘original’.
AlI I want to do is to preserve models as best I can and maybe someone out there will like some of them and give them a new home. Often the parts are actually quite valuable too for another project – or you are welcome to improve on my efforts too!
This one is not one of mine and has some large chips but I have left it for now as it is an interesting idea – with shaped wheels which will not be found on those early issues (and still very rare on the two tone editions).
