Description
A black example of the Mercedes 220SE – the early model with steering. It is in very good condition. I bought this for my own collection a long time ago and it has been well looked after since. The paintwork is excellent apart from some wear along raised body lines.
It is the best colour, unless I can find a blue. No, that would have to be a 253! They are easily confused. 230 has the steering and different side windows and boot. Black in good condition is hard to find.
Many of these models lose the star from the bonnet and this one is the same. I have, therefore, added a small jewel in the correct place which looks quite smart and makes this model a little more like it would have been when first issued.
The windows are all very clear and clean and there is a spare wheel in the boot.
