Description
OSM19260
- A low-profile, 1-piece crankcase and taller, semi-square heat sink head facilitate totally in-cowl installations by reducing overall engine height and enhancing cooling capacity.
- Dual Ball Bearing design includes a larger front bearing for added smoothness and extra durability.
- Multiple mounting options for the high-speed needle valve increase pilot safety and installation ease.
- Needle valve’s O-ring seal and ratchet spring minimize “creep” due to air leaks and vibration, allowing more flights between adjustments.
- # # Includes a small prop nut for APC props, plus a 3/8-24 lock nut for other props—added thread length on the extra-long crankshaft improves engagement with both, enhancing flight safety.
- Engineered for low fuel consumption, the exhaust port has a wide, wing-shape that contributes to higher torque at lower RPM.
- The easy-adjusting Type 60F carb offers good throttle response and the included E-5010 silencer provides quiet flight.
- Schnuerle-scavenged for fuel economy and extra power.
A move up to giant-scale modeling doesn’t require a switch to a 4-stroke or gasoline engine. All it requires is the OS 1.60 FX.
The 1.60 FX offers the same familiar design and ease of operation as every other FX Series 2-stroke. At the same time it produces almost three times more power per pound than more costly 41cc gasoline and multi-cylinder 4-stroke engines—and does it easily from a 2 lb package!
The holder for the 1.60 FX’s high-speed needle valve can be mounted horizontally or vertically at four locations on the backplate, or removed and mounted separately on the firewall—a total of 9 mounting options!
A unique muffler adapter eases installation, by allowing the adapter to be bolted onto the engine before you mount the muffler onto the adapter.
